Clinical Hypnosis for Drug Addiction

images-5

Whether you’re afraid of judgment, are avoiding pain or anger, or are lost in self-exploration that’s grown a little too “trippy,” drug-abuse is self-abuse.  Hard to believe, but despite all the information out there reminding everyone to “just say no,” the abuse rate of both prescription and non-prescription drugs isn’t decreasing. The reasons are often related to intensely personal difficulties that can only be dealt with through private, in-depth, one-on-one counseling.

In the 40 years I have been practicing hypnosis in NYC, I have been more effective than conventional rehabilitative facilities in curing addictions to heroin, cocaine, cigarettes, alcohol, and marijuana. Treatment is not what most people expect! There are no swirling discs involved, or any attempts to get you “very sleepy.” Drug-free and non-addictive, Clinical Hypnosis is rooted in rational cognitive behavioral therapy and in the concept of neuroplasticity, conducted through the art of executive life-coaching.

On average, therapy for drug addiction should take at least 3-5 sessions. The duration depends on how severe the addiction is, along with how intent you are in recovering. Unlike other programs, your individual experiences and patterns of character are taken into utmost account. If the motivation to “get clean” is as difficult as recovery itself, then that’s where you and I will have to start (I am willing to work in conjunction with a physician, if necessary). Regardless of where you are in recovery, that you want to come out for good is good enough to act on your interest in what hypnosis can do for you. Clinical Hypnosis to Overcome Internet Addiction

It’s true that the social scene in NYC remains unbeatable, growing constantly, and forever exciting. The price of participating, however, isn’t getting any cheaper. Regardless of where you stand economically, you’re bound to think twice about leaving your house once the costs of having fun are accounted for!

However, resourcefulness has its limits. So does spending quiet afternoons in the company of your own imagination. Time comes when you realize that the need to interact with others is no luxury, but a necessity – central to survival and development. What then can one do, without busting one’s bank account, but socialize on the Internet?

There’s probably no need to go on about how the need to connect can be satisfied in cyberspace. Nevertheless, and based on what every client I’ve had has told me, there will always be an element lacking that can only be found in the physical world.

Have you been futilely relying on the Internet to fulfill emotional needs that you should be taking steps outside to meet? The addiction can sap the quality of professional output and reduce social activity to texts and pictures that ultimately serve to render other people unapproachable. I have clients who’ve had to drop out of college owing to their video game addiction.

The great news is that Clinical Hypnosis in NYC with me is almost one hundred percent agreed to get you living your life where you should: in the world outside of the Internet. Let me know if you’re interested in learning exactly how the treatment works.

Hypnosis To Get You Through Holiday Stress

In my 37 years as a Clinical Hypnotist, I noticed that one thing hasn’t changed: New Yorkers have a deep-seated love-hate relationship with the winter holidays. Amid the lights and presents and feasts and parties, no other time is simultaneously riddled with high anxiety and depression. The relapse of addictions is also common. It is still a mystery why, of all periods in the year, the break-up rate is highest around Christmas.

Hypnosis could be a great gift for yourself (or perhaps another), if you know all too well the kinds of crises I am talking about. Most clients see me for relationship counseling: I am available to coach families and couples. If you are a single adults, I strongly encourage you to consider hypnosis for improving self-confidence and dating skills – this is probably the worst time of the year to stick it out on your own!

Hypnosis and Compulsive Shopping

In NYC, it feels impossible to stick to a strict budget. I get many clients scolding themselves for misspending their money on things that are ultimately making them financially strapped and unhappy. Believe it or not, I understand what the problem is from the inside since I used to be an impulsive buyer myself.

Frivolous spending every once and a while is never an issue. If you want to indulge after every paycheck or two, why not? But if you find yourself spending more and more to chase “highs” that leave you regretful and emptier than you felt, you’re probably hooked on consumption. The dopamine spikes that come with buying one thing after another creates an illusory fix that makes the actual solution to your problems even harder – if only a tiny bit harder – to attain.

What’s the actual source of your impulse? What can you do to stop unnecessary, and at times even undesirable, spending?

The answer is more scientific than you think. I provide hypnosis in NYC for people with compulsive shopping/addiction issues. Give me a call at 212-599-3195 and let’s talk about solutions for you using hypnotherapy. I’ll explain how the concept of neuroplasticity to rewire your brain in order to create positive emotional association with budgeting your money. A life of merry moderation is just around the corner…
