Hypnotherapy Heals Chronic Physical Pain

PainWho hasn’t been hurt? Everyone goes through life getting at least a scratch. Regardless of how much you might sustain injuries, you’re still going to remember even the tiniest cuts.

Where there’s pain, there’s emotion. So if the pain is persisting, how do you cope with it? If you’re a football player, suffering blows day in and day out, what can you do? Or what if you’re a broker who’s on his feet all day? What if your chiropractor or surgeon can’t seem to get rid of the pain you’ve felt ever since that car accident?

Neurologically, the process is easy to grasp. Pain starts with nerve inflammation, triggering the brain to emit anti-pain signals that ideally take the form of endurance (numbing) or resistance. Neither is good for you if it’s lasting a long time.

If you’re in consistent pain and you don’t have an inherent ability to respond positively to pain, then you need to call my NYC Hypnosis office. You can benefit from Clinical Hypnosis, and in a few sessions, I’ll do what years of therapy can’t.

Hypnosis is grounded in the concept of neuroplasticity: With continued practice and patience, I can guide you to recondition your brain’s interpretation of pain, so that your response takes you in the right direction.

Hypnosis for the Grieving Process

sad womanIn my 37 years of practice, I’ve helped many clients overcome the death of people they love.

Healthy grieving is being aware that although you can’t make new memories with the dead, you can still grow from the ones you had. The reality of this stage is rough for everyone. There is no time frame. And there are often regrets. When suffering causes you to withdraw from the world – and, in turn, withdraw from people – you are at risk for self-destruction.

The goal of therapy is to get you to understand that the loss will always be there. Dwelling obsessively in the past, at the expense of your everyday life and future, will only drive you into deeper despair. The challenge is tougher when you realize that you had based your entire existence on the person you lost. How do you live with yourself now?

Hypnotherapy is a way to help you define who you are individually. I teach you how to trust that, even with your loss, you have always been a complete person. That means you can socialize, improve, and develop without fear or guilt.  There is no need to let grief get the best of you.

Hypnosis for Childbirth

pregnant womanAn article came across my inbox from a colleague that I’d like to share with you here on my website. It pertains to the use of hypnosis to reduce all the problems that arise during labor and childbirth.

To quote directly from the article,

To deal with fear, overcome anxiety associated with pregnancy and labour, to increase self-confidence and trust in your body’s natural ability to give birth, hypnosis techniques can therefore greatly reduce, if not eliminate the fear and tension, which leads to severe pain during the birthing process.

Using the science of neuroplasticity, hypnosis is able to channel endorphins during the birthing process, only after the hypnotist, such as myself, has walked the expectant mother through the process several times mentally and emotionally.

For example, I would hypnotize the woman’s subconscious usually a carefully tailored induction a half-a-dozen times, so that by the time she actually gives birth, she is neurologically rewired to counteract the pain, anxiety, and fear. Because on a day like that, who needs to feel anything but extreme joy?

Hypnotherapy for Living in Your Thirties

Based on recent clients, I’ve noticed that the problems of adulthood are at their highest for thirty-year olds. Especially in this time, after the surge of unemployment and the country’s economic crisis, men and women in their thirties are stressed over not reaching the goals they believe they were supposed to reach in their younger years.

If the adults are college graduates, their loans are obstacles to the answer of simply furthering their education. Also consider the alienation caused by an over-reliance on technology and social networking to build relationships, and you’ll eventually get the real picture:

Thirty-year olds in 2014 are at risk at being a severely depressed, anxious, and discouraged group. If you agree, let me know your thoughts. Or if you think you may be a part of this group, how about considering hypnosis?
