pregnant womanAn article came across my inbox from a colleague that I’d like to share with you here on my website. It pertains to the use of hypnosis to reduce all the problems that arise during labor and childbirth.

Using the science of neuroplasticity, hypnosis is able to channel endorphins during the birthing process, only after the hypnotist, such as myself, has walked the expectant mother through the process several times mentally and emotionally.

For example, I would hypnotize the woman’s subconscious usually a carefully tailored induction a half-a-dozen times, so that by the time she actually gives birth, she is neurologically rewired to counteract the pain, anxiety, and fear. Because on a day like that, who needs to feel anything but extreme joy?

Kate Middleton is Hypno-Birthing

kate middletonIf you ever felt that hypnosis for childbirth was shoddy science or additional fluff to painkillers, think again.

Even British royalty, Kate Middleton, is going to use hypnosis to give birth to her and Prince William’s child, as was reported recently on the online news site 10news.com

Essentially, the idea is that hypnosis is used to tap into your own instinct and trust in your body that will help you deal the the contractions and eventual delivery,” said OBGYN Nicole Bedore with St. Vincent Women’s Health.

Sources close to the royal family said that Kate Middleton is likely going to use the HypnoBirthing method and Bedore thinks Middleton’s choice could lead to a surge in interest of hypnobirths in the United States.
