The Holidays are upon us, which can only mean one thing- goodbye short shorts, bikinis, and mini skirts, hello chunky sweaters, stretchy pants, and sweats. Even if you aren’t of Trick- or -Treat age, if you share in the spoils of your children’s candy collecting escapades or have your own tradition of perusing the drugstore discount candy isle on November 1st, you know that from Halloween through New Years, it is a binge eating free for all. That, in conjunction with cold temperatures, seems to encourage a sedentary existence, and ultimately weight gain.
However, it doesn’t have to. There are plenty of ways to still enjoy the pleasures of a giant, high calorie, holiday splurge, and still maintain a healthy and happy body. Why wait till Spring to crash diet in preparation for Summer short shorts, when you can maintain your figure year round with indoor exercises that are as easy as they are fun?
If you’re getting sick of the treadmill, try one of these on for size. It’s important to vary your exercise routine so you don’t get bored.
- Martial Arts- such as Krav Maga
- Wii Sports

Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore. Exercise should be something that you enjoy!
