Life Coach Helps Sister Lose Weight And Become A Champion

A teacher in Dublin recently wrote an excerpt for the Irish Independent that I’d like to share with you. The teacher, Danielle Hayes, went from a massively overweight woman to a much slimmer World Champion power-lifter. With the help of her brother, who served also as her fitness and life coach, Hayes stuck to a regimen of diet and exercise that not only got her to her target body weight, but made her an elite world athlete.

I urge you all to read the article on your own, but I want to quote some of the reasons she lost weight, several of which I hear on a daily basis from my clients who come to me to lose weight: According to Hayes, she wanted,

“…to be healthy, to keep fit, to remain mentally focused, to maintain [her] physique, and to boost [her] confidence and self-esteem…”

That last reason is what I hear almost every person want to accomplish: gaining confidence. You will gain confidence when you come to me, just like Danielle Hayes. With confidence and a better body, you can be the master of whatever you choose to be.

Hypnosis for Better Orgasms

a woman enjoying an orgasmIt sounds crazy, but hypnosis can be used for better orgasms. A lot of people (mostly women, but certainly men too) come to me either unable to orgasm completely or unable to orgasm enough. Not only do their sexual needs go unfulfilled, but the disparity in orgasms can lead to relationship problems.

I start the treatment by analyzing the root causes of the lackluster orgasms. Perhaps there is some underlying anxiety; repressed memories; relationship problems; whatever the case may be.

Once that is determined, I will use a form of neuroplasticity and rational cognitive coaching to mitigate any emotional or mental factors that disrupt your sex life.

HypnoBirthing for a Smoother, More Comfortable Birthing Process

A pregnant womanI came across an article recently about HypnoBirthing. I get asked whether I do HypnoBirthing from time to time, and the answer is an emphatic ‘yes.’

Pregnancy can be easier through HypnoBirthing, which is a form of hypnosis based on the idea that much of the physical agony mothers endure before and during labor is caused by unnecessary fears and anxieties.

These obstacles can grow so overwhelming as to cause miscarriages, birth defects, and even injuries to the mother herself.

Using techniques involving deep breathing, visualization, and rearrangement of external sensory stimuli (dimming the lights, for example, or changing the temperature in a room), the brain can be induced to create the neurochemicals that make people “feel good.” This would allow women to go through the stages of labor smoothly, comfortably and organically.

Mike Tyson Uses Hypnosis

Mike Tyson is really making the media rounds lately, and one article about him that really struck my fancy was how he used hypnosis before fights.

His manager hired a professional hypnotist to get him in the proper mindset to make him the champion he became.

Tyson has just added himself to a long list of elite athletes (that includes the likes of Tiger Woods) who’ve used hypnosis to improve their performance.

In the last 35 years of hypnosis treatment, I’ve helped many boxers and boxing instructors maximize their athletic potential via neuroplasticity. When I work with athletes, it’s all about emotional control. With testosterone and adrenaline pumping through every athlete, it’s important to not let those brain chemicals get in the way of your physical prowess.

While I take issues with the quote in and of itself, Mike said about his hypnosis, “Feelings have nothing to do with your life. The only thing feelings do is distract you.”

Life Coach Advice for Online Dating

Online dating web sitesAccording to polls done by Reuters, out of the 54 million people who are single, 40 million have tried online dating. Chances are if you’re single and reading this, you have had, currently have, or soon will have an online dating profile.

While I will always be a proponent for meeting people the old fashioned way, I have no objection to online dating—in fact, I think it’s a good thing. A lot of these sites offer thoroughly tested, algorithmic questionnaires for you to fill out that will apparently determine your compatibility with potential partners.

My one piece of advice would be not to put all your eggs into one basket with these questionnaires. While they have been meticulously designed to maximize compatibility, we all know that love works in mysterious ways, and often requires more than the sum total of our likes and dislikes.  So next time you’re on eHarmony, keep that in mind before you click to the next person.
