Being a Good Parent With the Help of Hypnosis

Recently on Gluck Radio we interviewed Kaitlin Bell Barnett, author of DOSED: THE MEDICATION GENERATION GROWS UP. Listen to the interview….

What hazards do popular, over-prescribed medication – “smart drugs” such as Adderall, for instance, or “happy pills” like Wellbutrin – pose on children? What natural mechanisms for survival and self-improvement – for growing up – stay underdeveloped when these skills are stunted by prescription drugs? Are the losses retrievable?

I want to put some pressure on parents. The pressure is on to be patient. Let your children bloom, early or late. Give them time, not tablets. (That might apply for Apple tablets, too.)

If you’re reading this, if you’re even remotely interested in my work, then I can bet you have the sophistication to refine the methods of parenting. Children are not pets, robots, incapable of deep understanding. If the toughest, smartest, strongest willed adults can harbor be shaped by unjust experiences, what more a child? All children are sensitive and impressionable. They will become adults, just like you and me.

Professionally, I’m here to help. I have experience in coaching both children and their families, separately or together. Hypnosis can serve as a supplement to psychiatric or physical therapy.  Do you want to be a good parent? Call me at (212) 599-3195 for a consultation.

NYC Hypnotist Can Provide A Quick Solution To Your Problems

My name is Dr. Errol Gluck, and I’ve been in the New York area practicing executive life coaching and clinical hypnosis for the last thirty seven years. Hypnosis is based upon neuroplasticity, the ability to rewire the brain when a person is in the state of receptability to new information.

Now so many people ask me if this is such a magical bullet, why isn’t a) everyone doing it, and b) how is it possible that you could fix anxiety and fears and phobias and alcoholism in a very short time?

I have a number of answers to that and the first is this: I’ve been practicing for thirty seven years. I work from 8 in the morning to 11:30 at night. It takes years and years and years to know what you’re doing, to assess a person and to be able to formulate a hypnosis session around who they are. Two, quick does not mean one or two sessions. Depending upon the extent of the disorder or the extent of the new information that has to be put into their minds, it could take a number of sessions. But the difference is compared to any other type of treatment, it is significantly quicker.

You can mark the progress week by week. Yes, it’s true for smoking, it could take only two sessions. For anxiety it could three or four sessions. But for other problems such as severe addiction to cocaine or crack it could take many more sessions. What I can tell you is my track record is incredibly effective and it does work.

Hypnosis for Family Problems

There’s a very specific reason why hypnosis can literally help you with family troubles. Since the prefrontal cortex isn’t fully developed until 25, most family problems arise during youth or childhood. This part of the brain (also known as the mammal brain) is in charge of emotions, irrational thinking, and impulsive behavior that can create a great deal of disharmony and pain during difficult times in the family.

My role is to coach and mentor you in identifying the changes you want, both in action and attitude. Once we’ve addressed the shortcomings and strengths of each family member, we can then work on building a measurable and perceivable basis for solving problems. The goal is to create a structure that promotes healthy understanding of individual differences, deep respect for support, loyalty, and responsibility.

It’s important to remember that no family is perfect. My model is always good, better, best; it’s not about you or your family being bad. It’s about your family having the potential to get better. Clinical Hypnosis is a great place to start.

Hypnotherapy Heals Chronic Physical Pain

PainWho hasn’t been hurt? Everyone goes through life getting at least a scratch. Regardless of how much you might sustain injuries, you’re still going to remember even the tiniest cuts.

Where there’s pain, there’s emotion. So if the pain is persisting, how do you cope with it? If you’re a football player, suffering blows day in and day out, what can you do? Or what if you’re a broker who’s on his feet all day? What if your chiropractor or surgeon can’t seem to get rid of the pain you’ve felt ever since that car accident?

Neurologically, the process is easy to grasp. Pain starts with nerve inflammation, triggering the brain to emit anti-pain signals that ideally take the form of endurance (numbing) or resistance. Neither is good for you if it’s lasting a long time.

If you’re in consistent pain and you don’t have an inherent ability to respond positively to pain, then you need to call my NYC Hypnosis office. You can benefit from Clinical Hypnosis, and in a few sessions, I’ll do what years of therapy can’t.

Hypnosis is grounded in the concept of neuroplasticity: With continued practice and patience, I can guide you to recondition your brain’s interpretation of pain, so that your response takes you in the right direction.
