Hypnosis for Exercise Addiction

Could you be addicted to exercise? If you work in New York City, you know how critical it is to keep your body in shape. Intelligence, financial success, creative accolades aren’t enough. Likely you have an active gym membership, go on regular jogs, are constantly exploring classes on meditation or martial arts. I rarely meet a New Yorker who isn’t concerned with exercise – not so much for dieting, either – in some way, regardless of how much time and money they have.

However, there is such a problem as exercising too much. Way too much. That habit is becoming increasingly prevalent, what with desk work more common along with more reason to stay indoors: People crave moving their bodies! This is understandable, a solid place to start a healthy life. But again: If things reach a stage where people wonder whether you’ve lost your mind, question your actions. It’s possible you are on the verge of a psychological collapse. The chance is high that your obsession with physical exertion is a form of escaping or of sorting out deep emotional instability that can be addressed through a combination of life coaching and clinical hypnosis.

Specializing in weight loss and eating disorders, my goal for you is obvious: I want you to stay fit, keep the natural strength of your energy and drive. Your stamina, in itself, is desirable and rare! But stop subjecting your body to needless pressure and strain. Hypnosis To Get You Through Holiday Stress

In my 37 years as a Clinical Hypnotist, I noticed that one thing hasn’t changed: New Yorkers have a deep-seated love-hate relationship with the winter holidays. Amid the lights and presents and feasts and parties, no other time is simultaneously riddled with high anxiety and depression. The relapse of addictions is also common. It is still a mystery why, of all periods in the year, the break-up rate is highest around Christmas.

Hypnosis could be a great gift for yourself (or perhaps another), if you know all too well the kinds of crises I am talking about. Most clients see me for relationship counseling: I am available to coach families and couples. If you are a single adults, I strongly encourage you to consider hypnosis for improving self-confidence and dating skills – this is probably the worst time of the year to stick it out on your own!

Hypnosis & “Post-Success Shock”

Trauma is shocking, but so is a miracle (or an event that resembles one)! I call this emotional state ‘post-success shock.’ It’s not a medically valid term, though it is relevant to my individual practice. Frequently, clients will get back to me after treatment describing their lingering daze – euphoria, even – at what has just happened. If you’re one of these people, there’s no need to worry.

For over 37 years my particular approach continues to be effective. People get better. People like getting better. The sessions aren’t a chore and there’s never shame in taking them. Sometimes you get exactly what you need in 2 sessions, except you want future appointments to feel totally secure. If the benefits are reasonable, then OK. I do urge you, though, to embrace your outcome fully on your own.

Can you handle the shocking effects of a successful hypnosis treatment? I absolutely think so. Visit my website, send me your thoughts, and let’s set a date if you’re interested (212) 599-3195.

Strengthening Self-Confidence via Clinical Hypnosis

To supplement my recent post about gaining physical attractiveness through hypnosis, I want to make sure you remember the following notion. Although it is desirable and advantageous to behave confidently regardless of any weakness, there is the danger of relying blindly on confidence solely.
Ask yourself: Are you using confidence as a crutch or an excuse to ignore (or at worse, deny) issues that you know you are capable of solving for the benefit of both yourself and those around you?
To secure your self-confidence, you initially need to identify which of your problems are within your control – problems that, once solved, will give you reason to be proud.
Here is a brief list of what I specialize in:

By “specialty,” I mean a category of difficulties that I have had a 95-100% success rate in treating.  Practicing in NYC for almost four decades, you will not find another therapist like me.
Neuroplasticity is a very complex science to apply, but I worked hard to make it the foundation of the Clinical Hypnosis I provide. There is much, much more to learn! I’m here if you need me. As always, feel free to contact my office at (212) 599-3195.

Computerized Versions of Clinical Hypnosis Are Likely Ineffective

Hypnosis, especially the kind I offer, cannot be substituted or replaced by a robot. No matter how fast-paced you’ve been living in an already hectic world, it makes sense to entrust the development of your mind to a practitioner who can thrive in the modern age while believing in the old-fashioned notions of face-to-face contact, customized treatment, and powerful results. What’s more, I incorporate tried and true methods with a respect for the technology out there that is doing what it is supposed to do.

Remember to ask yourself if your problems are worth being discussed by ready-made, automated programs. Can they personally refer you to powerful people in various professional arenas? Can they make considerations for your individual traits during treatment, and adapt readily to the changes that occur during your progress?

Bottom line is, if you’re seeking a Clinical Hypnotist or a Life Coach, the basic advice applies: Don’t consider an electronically powered entity located in cyberspace, created by a human being you can’t even picture. Do get a human being with experience, versatility, and presence.
